Nosebleeds, Overcome By This Way.

A nosebleed or so-called epistaxis is a condition caused by a ruptured nostril blood vessel. Rupture of these blood vessels can be caused by several things, one of which is because of a collision during a fall or a collision. In addition, it could also be because when sneezing or scraping irregular nostrils. The presence of irritation or drying of the membranes in the nose resulting from the reduced moisture because in a dry place can also cause nosebleeds.

If you have previously had a nosebleed and may now recur again, it may be due to certain diseases such as high blood pressure, or it may also be due to the effects of high-dose aspirin medications, or may be undergoing blood-thinning, allergic, nasal or sinus and bleeding.

First Aid On Nosebleeds

How to cope with a nosebleed so that the blood that comes out can stop and keep the air way open. Consider the following steps

  • Ask the victim to sit in a forward leaning position. This is so that the blood does not flow into the back of the throat that can cause the victim to vomit.
  • Check the victim's nose, if there is a foreign object in the nose, if any, immediately take the object.
  • After that, press the victim's nose for 10 minutes while asking the victim to breathe through the mouth.
  • When blood keeps flowing, then repeat pressed on the nose once more.
However, if the blood that comes out does not stop then immediately take the victim to the nearest health care facility. However, if the bleeding can be stopped then clean the nose and mouth slowly with a clean wet cloth.

Keep in mind that to avoid nosebleeds, it is expected not to erode the nose indiscriminately. Because it can cause relapse of nosebleeds worse.
